"The location is super convenient — easy to get around and lots of great spots nearby.\n\nBreakfast was surprisingly good (I’m still thinking about those croissants). Nice variety, fresh, and plenty to choose from.\n\nThe staff were all genuinely friendly and helpful. Everyone just seemed happy to be there, which made the whole vibe really welcoming.\n\nThe rooms aren’t huge, but they’re clean, modern, and nicely designed. Everything felt fresh and new. Loved the little design details — it’s clear someone put thought into it.\n\nWould definitely stay again."

"We had a really great stay at SMR San Bernardo! The hotel room 2b was clean, cozy, and in a great location—perfect for exploring the area. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed.\n\nBut what really made our experience special was Andriana at the front desk. She was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. She took the time to answer all our questions, gave us great local tips, and made us feel right at home. "This is a glorified youth hostel, not a hotel. TERRACE ONLY OPEN UNTIL 6PM!\nYOU CAN FIND MANY BETTER HOTELS IN THE AREA FOR A LOWER PRICE.\n\nYou are likely attracted to the rooftop terrace and pool, but know there are very limited hours of availability...it's only open until 6pm and is overly crowded making it impossible to use comfortably.\n\nThe rooms are exceptionally small with no closet or space. You can barely walk around the bed. The toiletries are cheap. The mini fridge is tiny and barely holds a water.\n\nBe prepared to be woken up at 7am by them rearranging furniture in the courtyard.\n\nIf you look at other reviews below, EVEN A LOCAL GUIDE RATES IT AS 1 STAR!\n\nThe staff are very young and not trained properly.\n\nThe restaurant inside hotel is mediocre food at best and very rude staff.\n\nThe hallways smell like bathrooms.\n\nLocation is ok, but there are way better areas to stay, whether you have 2 days or a week in Madrid.\n\nThe price for this place is way too high compared to others in the area. Go somewhere else!"
