Hotel Best 4 Barcelona

"Extremely Disappointing – Definitely Not 4 Stars!\n\nI would not recommend this hotel to anyone. While the towels were changed daily, they were far from clean – stained and with long hairs clearly left from previous guests. The level of hygiene was shockingly poor, and overall cleanliness did not meet even basic expectations, let alone those of a supposed 4-star hotel. The price is unjustifiably high for the quality of service and accommodation offered. To top it off, the hotel is located right next to a cemetery – not exactly the view you’d want to wake up to on your vacation. Very disappointing experience!"

"We’ve stayed there for 4 nights, we will not come back that’s why:\n\nNegatives:\n- very high price for the service provided\n- 1 out of 2 elevators was working, but for a hotel that size with that many floor and people that’s not enough. we couldn’t use the stairs due to my recent knee injury and our room was on the 7th floor, so we waited up to 10minutes for the elevator, which didn’t have a lot of space inside and maybe 5-7 people fit. also in my opinion it’s important to mention that i didn’t feel quite safe in the elevator\n- the breakfast is not worth the prize i paid for it. it’s a random simple breakfast but that’s not my problem. my problem was that the food was cold, tasteless and obviously old and not fresh (fruits etc)\n- also there are simply too many people and not enough tables for the small space of the breakfast so you cannot really enjoy your breakfast and also something is missing all the time on the buffet, and since it’s not that big you’re left with a sandwich\n- dinner: that’s our biggest regret. besides waiting up to 1.5 hours for starters, the service was awful, the waitress was very nice but in such an international city you would expect the hotel staff to at least speak basic english. all she could say was no or yes or repeat the stuff we said. the food was okay but in all honesty after waiting for 1.5 hours for my food i would expect it to be good and warm. it was okay but most of the days cold(especially the sides!!) . as far as im an enthusiast of not throwing away food, when i pay that much money for food, i dont want to eat the same potatoes that i’ve seen on the breakfast buffet, soaked in oil and cold at dinner (the menu said fries, and one day when i ordered the same thing it were fries and the day we’ve had potatoes as a side, even tho it said fries!??! wtf)\n- and it it worth to mention that you get one card with basically 5 options for each course (starter main and desert) and another card from which you can get a burger or a pizza with only desert but no starter and you cannot mix the dishes from each cards. don’t ask me i didn’t understand it. and also we were never asked if we could get something different to drink then water :( and when we asked if we could get something different the answer from the said waitress was a beautiful smile and a “no”\n- the hotel is old and you see it, the front doors barely worked and the glass was broken. not a 4 star experience (not to mention the lights on top the hotel, which should have said the hotel name instead all you could read was “4 barca”- not professional)\n- the shower: well, if you go under the shower, expect it to get boiling hot every 3 minutes (while you’re taking a shower and not touching it)\n\npositives:\n-the people working at the reception are super great, awesome, very friendly and just the sweetest people ever and give very best tips for sightseeing etc\n- the room was clean\n- we’ve got a room at the 7th floor so the view was amazing\n- the location is awesome: 100meters to the next metro station, 10min walk to the beach, 25minute drive without traffic to the airport"

"Recently stayed here. The room was clean but smaller than expected. The air conditioning only works when in the room which was very hot when we returned from sightseeing.\nBreakfast was decent but hard to get seating. The location of the coffee machines is horrible for those seated in that area. They are very loud and people crowding over your table waiting in line.\nThe front desk staff were all wonderful and very helpful. The cleaners were also very friendly."
