"This hotel was a wonderful spot for us during our stay in Barcelona! The location was great for traveling to and from the airport and of course for traveling throughout the city. Our room was nothing special, but it was spacious and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the large windows and the small balcony. Despite being a fairly busy street, once we closed the windows, we did not hear the street noise at all.\nThe hosts are very responsive with WhatsApp and that is the preferred method for communication. If possible, I would recommend arriving between 9am-2pm because from what I remember that is when someone is staffed at the desk. If you arrive later, you need to contact them through WhatsApp in order to check in."

"We stayed at the AMRA Barcelona for four nights in September 2024 and paid 635 euros for two people. 20€ of that was a late check-in fee, which we had to pay because our flight was delayed, something that could be forgiven if everything else had been great (lots of other hotels that don't want to pay someone to stay up late have just implemented a self-check-in procedure). Alas, we've stayed in better hotels for 60€/night.\n\nPros\n- Tiny but usable balcony\n- Enough space for luggage in room\n- Location\n\nCons\n- Thin doors (could hear late check-ins/ people in the hallway all the time)\n- moldy mini fridge\n- dirty towels (one stained, the others "only" smelled like the were hung to dry in a room where things were fried)\n- bedding that didn't close so you'd end up with the duvet touching you - very unhygienic.\n- uncomfortable plasticky carpet floor everywhere, also in the bathroom\n- the fixtures in the bathroom were loose and the bathroom itself not nicely done. The shower head had never been descaled in its life.\n- But worst of all: the plumbing. The sink gurgled like it was competing in the Olympics. It woke us, it kept us awake, it was dreadful and should not be a problem in a hotel that's charging over 150€/night\n\nJudging by the other reviews it seems that this hotel must have been a good deal a few years ago. This is underlined by the "9/10 Rating on Booking.com"-sign from 2015, still sitting proudly on the receptionist's desk. Unfortunately it seems no one has put in any effort anymore since then and it does not hold up anymore these days."
