"Thank you for making my birthday stay so special. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Great location and within walking distance of great shops and restaurants. Room was awesome and better than I could have ever imagined. Staff and concierge were very nice and helpful. The french toast at the hotel restaurant (Rocco) is worth every single calorie. I would rate my stay a 10 out of 10."

"I wish I could give Ivens 10 stars. The room, location, and service were impeccably perfect.\n\nWe stayed here for the later half of our vacation in Portugal. We loved how aesthetic hotel was, as well as the bar and restaurant attached (The Rocco). They’re very well known and we were fortunate to have eaten lunch there on our first day.\n\nThe staff were so friendly and extremely professional. They paid careful attention to the smallest of details to elevate our stay. I will absolutely be back at this location.\n\nThank you for everything! Lydia & Dave"

"The Ivens – A Stylish & Romantic Mini-Moon Stay\n\nWe stayed at The Ivens for a one-night mini-moon right after our wedding, and it was a beautiful experience and a great location. The hotel has a stylish safari theme inspired by the voyage of Ivens and Capelo to Africa. The décor is contemporary and vibrant, with lush greens, yellows, pinks, and oranges creating a warm and adventurous atmosphere.\n\nOur room was spacious and continued the safari theme with stylish wallpaper and thoughtful details. The bathroom had clearly been recently refurbished—beautiful and functional, with a great shower.\n\nAs a lovely gesture for our celebration, the hotel surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco and a mini chocolate cake, which was absolutely delicious.\n\nBreakfast was included and featured a great variety: cereals, fresh fruit, pastries (including the iconic pastel de nata), orange and grapefruit juice, and a selection of hot egg and pancake dishes. The only slight downside was the coffee, which didn’t quite match the high quality of the rest of the offerings, but it was still decent.\n\nThe staff were excellent—attentive without being overbearing, striking just the right balance for a hotel of this level.\n\nAll in all, we highly recommend The Ivens for a romantic getaway. It’s stylish, welcoming, and makes for a truly memorable experience for two."
