Stay Hotel Lisboa Centro Saldanha

"Nice little hotel, albeit rather a walk from the centre of Lisbon, and especially when it was 39 degrees Celsius outside. Uber turned out to be a practical if expensive alternative.\n\nVery quiet and comfortable little room. Fast internet and I was on the 4th floor so that was positive. Shower really stank of damp as soon as you walked into it which wasn't pleasant though.\n\nStaff were super friendly and very helpful too, which was very much appreciated.\n\nCan't check in until 16.00 which feels quite late compared to most hotels but you can store your luggage there. Book your breakfast ahead of time and it's cheaper too, although there are a few cafes around you might pick up even tastier treats if you wish."

"Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The best thing about it is definitely the location – it's just perfect. When it comes to the staff, Luena and Cisvanio truly stood out. They were the highlight of my experience: incredibly professional and absolutely excellent at what they do."

"Staff are very friendly and very helpful. I had difficulties with technology and was unable to book a Bolt ride from the airport to the hotel. I phoned ahead of time and asked how much roughly would a taxi ride be. I was told that it could vary depending on the time of the day and traffic, but it should be between 10 to max 20 EUR. I was also told that if a taxi driver asks for more money I should come into the hotel and the staff member will talk to the taxi driver. When I got in to the cab I noticed that the meter was turned so that I was not able to easily see the amount. When we arrived, the meter showed 11.75. The driver asked for 25. I went inside. A very helpful staff member came out and talked to the driver. He requested a receipt. After much discussion the driver produced a receipt. He added 1.60 to the price for changing the zone, so the amount was showing 13.35, but he still demanded 20. I was advised to pay what the receipt showed and I did. The driver was disgruntled, but left. I feel bad that I did not ask for the name of that staff member. He helped us a lot and later on he pointed us to some great restaurants in the neighbourhood. There were two staff members on that Monday October 21st, 2024 in the afternoon. They were both very kind, polite, professional and very helpful. It is the staff that made our experience in that hotel really great. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel because of the fantastic staff who treat the guests like their family."
