"Bed bugs!!! Avoid. Wouldn't even give it 1 star.\n\nTo start off we arrived to some homeless drugged people on the door steps and outside hotel, fighting, playing music, dancing and singing even at 3am when we decided to leave. The taxi, Portuguese driver didnt want to leave us alone until we were checked in safely.\n\nWe got into the room and everything felt dirty, the room stank like damp, wasn't aired out.\n\nHair and stains on sheets. Then we found bed bugs.\n\nWe tried to find other accommodation until 3am, everyone said they fully booked, we went back to airport, didnt want to even sit in the room on the desk chair or floor!\n\nBooking.com did nothing about our complaint and request for refund, and the hotel didnt respond to them nor myself after multiple communications sent.\n\nMy advice: rather spend extra €30-€50 euro on a different accommodation, us losing a whole night of sleep, the stress, €88 for the room, €30 for uber and cab to and from accommodation, was not worth the whole ordeal, for them to not even apologise or offer a refund.\n\nTo top it off...when we were waiting in lobby for our uber to leave, there were unwelcomed DRUNK guests demanding a room when the receptionist kept saying there is nothing available, it turned into a big altercation about racism and threats of calling police were made.\n\nWe were just glad to be out of there.\n\nDisgusting."

"Bed Bugs\n\nWe are surprised that none of the reviews mentions the bed bugs…\nWhen we checked in we saw dark stains on the matres and bathroom doors. We thought it’s was a mold (mold is typical problem here). We checked the reviews on Booking - nobody mentioned the bed bugs, we thought it’s safe. However on the second morning there we saw one…\nThis property is simply tricking tourists with the low budget. The low price will result in great expenses to get rid of the bed bugs at home…\nThe sketchy homeless people mentioned in other reviews: we stayed there for two nights. On Monday it was more less calm, on Sunday evening they were pretty loud. Two men were almost fighting, one man was yelling into the crowd, the was a recent drug-addict, still physically strong, who knows what's in his head. Nevertheless we could leave and come back to the hotel safe.\nIn general we were going to rate Pensao Nova Goa as expected quality for this price, but because the bed bugs it can’t be rated higher than 0. Don’t go there\n\nAt breakfast there were cereals, cheese, ham, bread, toaster, coffee machine, orange juice, water\nThe staff are simple people, but nice (untill it comes to recompensation).\n\nP.S. The property refused to recompensate pest control supplies and dry cleaner's. Booking can do nothing about it. So if yo already went there, demand the property to recompensate while you are still there"

"Stayed here for last night in Lisbon. Room is decent size with good AC. Bathroom has recently been refurbished. Strong water pressure but drain does not drain quickly so may flood. Floor does not have drain I believe so be careful!! Breakfast is free, very limited choices- but then again it was free so can’t complain, did the job for the morning. Main things were modern coffee machine, bread to make toast, ham, cheese, 2 kinds of cereal, butter, peach jam, from what I remember."
