"We stayed for several weeks in the place they call "Angel's Classic," which is the bottom floor of some beautiful 19th C mansion. The staff was incredibly helpful in steering us to a place that best suited us. The "apartment" is relatively large. While we are a family of four, it could have accommodated more. There are beautiful Portuguese tiles on every wall. The sink must be original. And while half of the apartment is partially underground, there was always plenty of natural light. The place was both beautiful and comfortable. As to the neighborhood, it is funky. We are a suburban American family, but like to travel. It might be off-putting to some at first. The neighborhood in which it is situated is populated with a huge diversity of people, shops and restaurants. It reminds me of a gentrifying neighborhood that might never get there. But we made so many friends in the neighborhood and had some great food. And we always felt safe, even very late at night. I would recommend the accommodations and company very heartily."

"Very good apartment for a cheap price if booked a minimum a month in advance. The only downside is that if you're planning to stay during the winter, it will be very cold, and the air con does not exceed above a certain temperature.\n\nCheck your bedding before you sleep, as they have forgotten to change ours and have been used by previous visitors."
