"The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. The hotel is in an interesting part of town. The decor is hip and modern and the rooms are comfortable and clean. There are many amenities.\n\nThat being said, the minimum requirement of a hotel room is a good night sleep. Our room shared a wall with a building that was under construction. We were woken early in the morning to rock drilling that persisted throughout the day and continued again the next day.\n\nWe asked the hotel staff if they could remedy the situation. They said there might be another room we could move to, but in the end, they told us that they sold that room to other incoming guests.\n\nManagement really let their staff down in this situation. This hotel should not be selling the rooms that are adjacent to the construction. Well managed hotels are profitable at less than 100% occupancy. It is challenging to think they would take the reputational risk for such modest gain. Make sure you call ahead and make sure you are not on the East side of the building before coming here if you value a good night sleep."

"We have been enjoying our stay at Jam Lisbon. It’s a great, eclectic spot with thoughtful amenities. Only downside and I would actually give it a 1 star if I had the option, is the maintenance pool. The pool is only 1.5 meters deep and you can’t even see your feet. This poses significant concerns for the health and safety of all who are using the pool. After venturing out and about in the city when it’s 37-38 degrees celcius, we were hoping to comfortably enjoy the pool during the afternoon. That is not the case."

"My friends stayed here and we visited with them one day. The place had an amazing atmosphere. It was very hip and trendy. The rooms were creatively designed for maximum use of space. It was clean and staff were attentive and helpful. Although the view wasn't anything special, the location was close to a few good landmarks. We were able to find free parking right out front as well."
