"Great location and helpful staff, adequate breakfast really increased the value. The rooms were clean, small, and very basic. Extremely small TV, no in-room coffee, and limited storage space. However, the location is very central, and the hotel is quiet with comfy beds and a person at the desk 24 hours. AC worked well! If you want fancy, this isn't it, but if you just want a clean and safe place to stay with breakfast, you'll be happy."

"I stayed a total of nine nights in this hotel.\n\nThe location is unbeatable buried in a very central location with the best of coffee shops, restaurants and boutique shops surrounding the Neighbourhood, including convenience stores (lidl), local groceries(bring cash) and two brilliant gym facilities viva & holmes place ( with 25m pool & sauna / steam room) if you are into Training and need a nearby facility. If running is your thing, Sadiq can add you on Strava and show you all the best run routes in Lisbon. There is also an incredible massage clinic (Og) a couple of doors up.\nFor a fitness enthusiast or if you’re just a healthy person in general, this is the best option - all your needs are more than met.\n\nIt’s extremely comfortable not luxurious but if wanting to experience Portugal and have the best stay ever - this is it - with clean cozy beds and amazing hot (and super pressured) showers. Beautiful woooden floors and stair case in the hotel. Perfect WiFi and it’s bright and airy.\n\nThe owners Hussain and Sadiq are from the family run business and simply cannot do enough for you - I visited a friend at a much higher star hotel and felt unwelcome and uncomfortable - this experince was unbeatable in my opinion. I highly recommend hotel Portunese & will be back.\n\nI was in Portugal for a family wedding and stayed on some days to relax and catch up on work. Left feeling completely rejuvenated spiritually enriched, physically and mentally fitter."

"Small, family-run hotel with great, efficient, and professional staff. Very central and well-located. The room was a bit small, especially the closet and hangers, considering we stayed five nights. Maybe we should have asked for a few more. They would have surely provided them. The bathroom was fine and big. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was quite good, with a small buffet, fruit, and pastries—very adequate. We asked to leave our bags until departure time, and everything was made easy."
