Daora Lisbon Apartaments

"Please do NOT stay here – for your physical and mental health, avoid this place at all costs.\n\nThis was, hands down, the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. I booked and paid for a female-only shared room with 4 beds — but when I arrived, they placed me in a mixed dorm with 10 beds, and all the other guests were men. I was the only woman in the room, which felt completely unsafe and unacceptable. I asked for a refund or solution, but nothing was offered. The staff wasn’t rude, just completely unhelpful and incompetent.\n\nThe room was filthy — there was a terrible smell, the beds were dirty, the floor was sticky, and it clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. A bright overhead light stayed on all night, and the noise was unbearable: loud talking, laughing, and door slamming went on for hours. I ended up crying through the night because I felt so uncomfortable, vulnerable, and exhausted.\n\nThis place is unhygienic, disorganized, and mentally draining. They don’t respect what you book and there’s no accountability. Please, for your safety and peace of mind, do not stay here. It’s not worth it — not for the price, not for the location, not for anything."

"I booked this apartment under the name D&S Lisbon Hostel but when I arrived, it was Daora Hostel. I've read that they are also using the name Terra apartment. The worst Hostel that I ever stayed. The Receptionist (the woman with a curly hair ) was very rude and unfriendly. I waited very long for the check in because she entertained first a Guy from Lebanon who was just a Walk in. They were flirting with each other in the Reception which prolonged my waiting time. The rooms are very small, no available cabinets where you can keep your valuables or do they have but you need to pay extra. The workers don't have respect for the privacy of their Guests at all. They come inside the room anytime without knocking at the door because they know the code. They have a CCTV camera in the entrance that makes a sound each time that a person walks before it, non stop 24/7. The pictures in their advertisement doesn't coincide with the room's real structure. The apartment looks very depressive especially in the reception area because it is very dark. There are also no real kitchen available as shown in the pic (just a microwave) no other kitchen utensils whatever. I wonder if the workers or the owner knows something about proper customer relations."

"I have a big problem with this place. My friend and I booked the same room. The pictures are completely different from the reality. There is no agreement between them. The accommodation is dirty and not suitable for living. There are bedbugs in it. I have pictures of the unclean accommodation. Many customers have cancelled their reservations for the same reason. We lost some personal belongings in the room. The employees are not welcoming and they cursed me in Portuguese. I understand a little of it and he knows that because I speak it, I cancelled my reservation. There are many reasons."
