"Lots of lovely surprises with lots of places throughout both hotels to sit and relax with wine, fruit and cheese plates complementary. Breakfast offering is exceptional with live piano and violin. Rooms are nicely appointed.\nThe room we booked - Rosa 4 - is spacious with an extra large bed, but there was construction noise from midnight to 5am from the neighbouring restaurant on our first night. No fault of the hotel , though we were subsequently told that the restaurant had been visited the prior day about noise. Staff were accommodating to change our room to a quieter part of hotel, for the second night but it is a smaller room and bed. Had to request a partial refund for the smaller accommodation, it was not offered. In the end we got a much better sleep on the second night."

"This was the best place I stayed during a 2-week trip in Portugal! Honestly it was in my top 3 highlights: it had the most hospitable staff, most exquisite decor, and best breakfast complete with live accompaniment. If I ever come back to Lisbon, I would stay here or at any of their sister hotels. Lisbon is overwhelming and there are so many places just out for your money, but this place is an oasis."
