"Hostel recommended by a couple bloggers which is how we landed here. Based on reviews I did not expect a friendly atmosphere, but wow there sure is not. The staff are not welcoming at all. We arrived 30 minutes before move in, they made every single person wait to check in at 4, likely the rooms ready. Really didn’t bother us, but something to know. No lockers or storage room - your bags sit by the elevator if you leave them with them if you arrive early. Not the safest space with a back door access close by. We stayed in a private twin room, it was comfortable and clean. Had our own tiny sink and mirror. Really comfortable comforters, bed was decent. Small locker with key inside the bed. Another one night stay for us so it suited our over night in Shibuya. It’s about a 15 min walk from the train station / bus station once you know the lay of the land it’s pretty easy. Recommend for those who are not caring for a hostel atmosphere or friendly serviced stay. No info about things to do, tours or anything hostel typical."

"Comfortable hostel walking or bus distance from Shibuya crossing. We stayed 2 nights there, in a private 2 bunk bed room.\n\nThe room was very small but included a small sink which is helpful. We had a window to give some cool air because unfortunately the AC unit only pumped hot air out.\n\nThe common room is okay, with not much amenities and always loud music playing even at 9am. There wasn't any space for us to store some food or use cutlery/bowls/plates."

"I stayed at Wise Owl Hostels in Shibuya for a few nights. Overall, it was a decent hostel in a clean area and offered the basics for a budget stay. The location is not bad, about a 15 to 20 minute walk from Shibuya Crossing once you get your bearings.\n\nThe bathroom had a very strong and foul odour that was hard to ignore, which definitely took away from the experience. I barely saw any staff during my stay beyond the brief check-in, though the process itself was fine.\n\nLuggage storage is located by the elevator and is not secure at all, so I highly recommend keeping valuables with you. Each room does have a small personal locker, which helps a bit. If you’re not expecting anything fancy and just need a place to crash, it does the job, but there are definitely areas for improvement."
