Tokyo Business hotel

"For a last-minute option, it provided the bare minimum at a cheaper price - especially duringt a busy and expensive period in Tokyo.\n\nThe location involves a bit of a walk from the nearest local train line and an even longer walk to Shinjuku station.\n\nIt is a hit-and-miss for speaking to an english-speaking Receptionist, as most only speak Japanese and communication can be difficult between customer and staff.\n\nThe rule about having to surrender the room key each time you leave the hotel is a little offsetting and wasn't explained clearly upon check-in.\n\nAlso, having to stay out from 10am until 4pm or stay in your room all day for it not to be cleaned is a bit concerning as a guest to say the least, along with having to be back at the hotel by 1am or risk being locked out until 6am. Not having the option to return to your room at any time of the day made the stay less enjoyable or from a late night of hitting the local drinking spots.\n\nThe rooms themselves were very tiny, especially for someone larger in stature. The A/C was positioned awkwardly and was unable to keep it on for long periods due to the small proximity of the room essentially being 'hotboxed' from it. It was even more difficult to navigate around the room with luggage taking up a significant amount of the area. The bathroom and toilet area was incredibly tightknit and made moving around in it difficult. It was old and musty.\n\nPositives of the hotel other than the price included the communal baths that were available for use from 4pm-1am. This was nice to use after a long day of sightseeing. Each floor has public toilets, as well as a washroom with free water and tea. Breakfast is available at the hotel (at an additional fee), which made it convenient to have breakfast ready before heading out for the day instead of having to travel to a nearby restaurant. Also, the proximity to nearby shops was ideal."

"Classic business hotel\n\nRoom had funny smells, the AC is not in a good spot, it keeps blowing your head while you’re on bed\n\nOne night I get back I found a firefighter in my room but I don’t smoke, and the front desk said it was the housekeepers’\n\nWeird, they don’t explain what the keepers use the lighter for?\n\nStaffs English is not good, main doors lock between 1am to 6am, is not convenient.\n\nBreakfast in the morning is boring\n\nBad experience"
