"Best to avoid. High cost and low service level, especially at the reception. Even as a platinum guest the experience was totally below expected. No club lounge and no free breakfast for Platinum, room upgrades just to next tier, never to a suite. I understand this is hotel policy but does not mean it makes any sense, plus the service too sucks. Not sure why one should be paying so much money to stay at this place. The staff at the reception needs coaching in service, hard to imagine this in Japan but here we are.\n\nThe breakfast has limited option. 3 types of eggs are 3 different main dish options..scrambled, omelette and fried is three different main course option to give you the illusion of choice. Most top hotels (even 4 star) would just give you egg any style as one single option. Such a limited breakfast spread for a high end property, very underwhelming.\n\nIf you are willing to spend this much, go to other 5 star properties. This one is all brand and no value."

"We somehow scored an upgrade to an amazing suite at this stunning property. Located in the heart of the expat district of Tokyo, Roppongi, we only had time for a very short visit. Perhaps most disappointing for us is that we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the incredible pool and spa on the top floor of the property. I did wish they had a coed sauna but I can understand why we didn’t. I’m trying to think of a flaw with this property during our stay, but I simply can’t. The level of detail and attention was essentially peerless. Although we’re big fans of some peer flags, I’m having a hard time imagining staying anywhere else when are in Tokyo."

"As someone who works in the hotel industry and travels frequently to high-end properties, I tend to notice the small details — and The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo absolutely blew me away. The level of service here is so seamless, so intuitively elevated, that every luxury hotel should aspire to this standard.\nI spent a month traveling across East Asia solo to celebrate my 25th birthday, and I chose The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo to close out the journey. I truly could not have selected a more perfect property. From the moment I arrived, I felt not just welcomed, but understood.\nA heartfelt thank you to Yutaro at check-in, the incredibly thoughtful concierge team, and the exceptional talents of Chef Shinji and Nobufusa. Every interaction was warm, precise, and genuinely personal — something rare even at the highest levels of hospitality.\nEnding my trip here reminded me why I love this industry. I left inspired and already looking forward to my next visit to Tokyo, just to experience this unforgettable hotel once again."
