"We had a great stay at this hotel! Couldn't have asked for a better location - conveniently situated near public transport, shops, and local attractions. The staff were absolutely lovely and spoke very good English, which made check-in and asking for local recommendations easy.\n\nThe buffet breakfast offered a great variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, our room was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. It was on the smaller side, but we found that to be typical of hotels in Japan the longer we stayed in Japan.\n\nHighly recommended for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and great value for money."

"Very comfortable and well located hotel. Slightly small room, so using your suitcase is tricky. Apart from that it was fine, and reasonably good value for Tokyo. The breakfast was fine. It's in an excellent location, near central train stations, shops and loads of bats and restaurants."

"I stayed at Super Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho and overall had a pleasant experience.\n\nThe location is convenient, right in Kabukicho, but the hotel is slightly tucked inside and the road leading to it is not very pedestrian friendly as cars also use the path. There is a 7 Eleven right across the street, and I found it to be the best stocked convenience store in the area.\n\nThat said, if it is your first time visiting Kabukicho, you might find the area a bit overwhelming. There are many nightlife establishments nearby, and it is not unusual to see drunk people lying on the street or groups of girls hanging around at night. Although Japan is generally very safe, I would not recommend staying in Kabukicho if you are traveling with young children.\n\nThe room is very small, which is expected for a budget hotel in Tokyo. That said, I really appreciated the thoughtful touches. If you are a female guest, they provide a daily amenity kit. I booked a ladies' room, and the hairdryer was a ReFa, which was very powerful, and there was even a curling iron.\n\nThe bed was comfortable, although I found the pillow average. Luckily, you can choose from a variety of pillows at the lobby, which is a very nice detail.\n\nThere is an artificial hot spring bath in the hotel. It is a shared facility with different time slots for men and women. However, the women’s time ends quite early, only until 10:50 PM. Also, I do not know if it was because I stayed on a high floor, but the water pressure in the shower was very weak, so I ended up going to the bathhouse every night to shower.\n\nOne of the best things is that breakfast is included. It ends at 9:30 AM, so you need to get up a bit earlier. It is not a huge spread, but definitely enough. Mostly Japanese style with rice, soup, fish, egg, some bread, coffee, juice, and even fruit, which is great since fruit in Japan can be expensive.\n\nAnother great point is that they have self service laundry, and it only costs 100 yen, including detergent and drying. For that price, it is unbeatable.\n\nThey also offer free drinks and alcohol every evening from 6 PM to 7 PM.\n\nHowever, I would like to raise a serious concern regarding the public bath at the hotel.\n\nJust now, I witnessed two individuals who appeared to be non guests entering the bath area. Shockingly, they went straight into the bath without even rinsing themselves beforehand. This is extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. They were wearing sneakers and had no towels, which makes it unlikely they were real guests.\n\nOn another occasion, we also experienced someone loitering outside the hotel entrance at night. After we entered using the access password, that person followed us inside. This raises serious concerns about overall security.\n\nThere are quite a few homeless people in the area, and we believe some of them sneak into the hotel late at night to use the laundry or bath, especially since there is no staff at reception after midnight. This makes the situation even more concerning.\n\nHonestly, I strongly advise against using the bath. It feels dirty and poorly managed in terms of hygiene and access control.\n\nAlso, the WiFi was basically unusable. It never connected successfully throughout my stay.\n\nThe worst part was the room door code. It constantly failed, and I was often locked out. When I told the staff, they just told me to wait ten minutes and try again. So every day I had to stand in the hallway for ten minutes trying repeatedly to get back into the room.\n\nWhen I raised the issue again, they said if I wanted it fixed, I would need to leave the room early and stay out for a long period, as the repair would take time and I would not be allowed to return until it was done. This was completely unreasonable.\n\nOverall, the hotel responded to our complaints with a very indifferent attitude. I am extremely disappointed. I will not stay at any hotel under this group again."
