Sotetsu Fresa Inn Shimbashi Hibiyaguchi

"My partner and I had absolutely no complaints about staying here, because most of our days were not spent in the hotel. With that said, we did get lost trying to find the lobby but that was our fault and we weren't reading things properly.\n\nStaff spoke mostly Japanese but they were able to assist us with getting checked in. It helped that my partner spoke the language, so that made things easier. Our room was in another building just right around the corner, where the entrance had a vending machine for drinks and a shelving unit of anything you needed such as a comb, tooth brush, teas, and random amenities which were individually wrapped. The elevator only worked if you had a room key, and my favorite thing was there was a family mart on the first level in the same building as the lobby.\n\nRooms were clean and was big enough for a couple and the bathroom had shampoo and conditioner and body wash that all smelled wonderful. Housekeeping slipped a piece of paper whenever they notified us that they were coming to clean rooms and provide new towels and slippers.\n\nOverall, during our 10 days, 9 night stay, we loved this place! Will definitely stay again.\n\nThey were also of big help when we were checking out and they held our luggage for the rest of the afternoon because we had a 9pm flight. When we came back to pick up our luggage, they also helped us get a giant taxi to bring us to the airport.\n\nThank for the excellent stay and wonderful customer service!!!!"

"We’ve only stayed in Sotetsu hotels in Tokyo because we like their locations (near the Tokyo Metro subway or JR lines). And this branch is now our favorite after staying for 5 nights in May 2025. It’s just a few steps from Shimbashi station where you can easily access JR’s Yamanote line and Tokyo Metro’s Ginza and Asakusa lines. It is also the first station of the Yurikamome line, providing easy (albeit expensive) access to the Odaiba and Toyosu areas. If you’re a Sotetsu member you get some nice perks including 500 yen cash back and 2 bottles of water, soda or coffee for every night of stay."

"The room was not very clean, with some rubbish and leftovers from the previous guest. This has only happened at this hotel among all the ones I’ve stayed at in Japan so far.\nThe location is great, with both the subway and JR lines nearby (about a 5-minute walk), plenty of restaurants around, and convenient access to both airport train lines from the nearby station.\nAnother thing I liked was the luggage storage area after checkout, which had locks for added security."
