"During my stay in Tokyo, I booked a few nights at Shibuya Tokyu REI Hotel, drawn by its central location just a short walk from the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing. If you want to stay in the middle of the action, this hotel puts you right there.\n\nThe hotel lobby is quite small, but efficient. One nice touch is that check-in is fully automated, which makes the process fast and hassle-free — especially after a long flight or busy day.\n\nThe room itself was clean and functional, though very compact. Like many city hotels in Tokyo, space is minimal, so it’s best suited for solo travelers or couples with light luggage.\n\nOne area that could use improvement is the breakfast. While it’s decent in quality, there’s not much variety, which may be disappointing if you’re staying for more than a night or two.\n\nIn summary, Shibuya Tokyu REI Hotel is a great choice if location and efficiency are your top priorities. The hotel provides a reliable base in one of Tokyo’s liveliest districts, just be ready for tight quarters and a modest breakfast."

"The people is very kind and they try to do the best, however They seemed more interested in making money than providing good service. Having just arrived from the USA, we asked for an extra room so we could rest before check-in for our reservation, and when we asked for the breakfast pass, we had to pay for it. I find it rude to have booked a room for four days and pay an extra fee to rest a few hours before check-in for our reservation."

"The hotel location is excellent, very close to train stations, making it convenient for traveling around. Before our stay, I requested additional pillows, and the hotel impressively arranged them in advance—they were already placed in the room upon our arrival. This thoughtful touch made our stay even more comfortable. The staff were generally friendly and accommodating.\n\nHowever, we did encounter a few minor issues. On the first night, we asked for a shower cap, but one of the staff members at the counter, who did not understand English, informed us that they didn’t have any. This was puzzling since the hotel’s website stated that shower caps were provided. We tried again the next day with another staff member and successfully received one. Later, on the fourth day, when we requested an additional shower cap, the staff seemed unaware of where they were kept, and we had to guide them to where the previous staff had found it. While this was a small inconvenience, it’s worth noting for better staff coordination.\n\nAnother area for improvement is the laundry facilities. While the housekeeping was excellent, we found it challenging to use the washing machines and dryers due to limited availability. On one occasion, all machines were occupied, and we had to wait for them to become free. Adding more machines or implementing a booking system could greatly enhance the guest experience.\n\nDespite these minor issues, our 8-night stay was fantastic overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location, along with the proactive pillow arrangement, truly made a difference. We would strongly recommend this hotel to others and look forward to seeing improvements in these areas during our next visit."
