Richmond Hotel Asakusa

"Located very close to Asakusa Don quijote, Uniqlo, and behind the Sensoji Temple. About 15 minute walk from Asakusa station. In front is Hoppy street, a row of outdoor seated drinking & dining. OK Supermarket 3 minute walk away.\n\nSingle room, very big and comfortable bed and pillows. Very quiet, sound proof, no smell. Standard small Japanese bathroom. No drain smell.\n\nVending machines, laundry, microwave, ice machines on the 6th floor. No lounge, no drink machines. Basic amenities provided. Bath salts provided which is nice to have.\n\nFront desk staff were very kind and friendly. The female staff spoke English very well and explained things in detail. Tho, I didnt expect to be charged additional tax/tourist fee for my stay. Check out I used the machine. Quick and easy.\n\nThere were 2 big cons:\n\n1. Cleaning needs improvement.\nLots of hairs found in the bathroom towels, walls, and bathtub on first day of check in.\n\n2. AC. Room temp was set at 25c at night. I pressed the buttons so many times but still could not adjust the temp. Room got so warm and humid became difficult to breath/sleep even when I opened the window and blasted the air purifyer machine. I called front desk at night but was informed that this was their general setting. Orbitz/Expedia happened to send me an email survey after check in so I wrote a review. The next night, I was able to adjust the temperature.\n\nOverall, hotel is ok but not worth paying over 100 usd a night with hairs of other guests and not being able to adjust room temperature. I recommend to book a different hotel unless you are staying just for a night."

"Couldn't have wished for a better location! Some of Tokyo's most impressive sights are close by and the shopping and dining options in the district are superb. Hotel was really well fitted out and resourced but my sincerest thanks to the hotel staff, especially housekeeping and Song on reception who went out of their way to help me when I thought I'd lost some medication. Thank you so much!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐\nI accidentally left my wallet in the hotel lobby, but I had already returned to Indonesia. The staff at Richmond Hotel Asakusa were incredibly helpful and responsive. They reached out to me quickly and assisted with sending my wallet back to Indonesia safely. Their service during my stay was also excellent — the staff were friendly, professional, and I was given a room with the best view. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and reliable stay in Asakusa, Tokyo!"
