"good amenities; laundry available on the balcony on the 6th floor. Microwave available in the lobby. There are also extra shaving cream, makeup remover etc. Rooms are small, but such is Japan. The bed is a nice and spacious; fit 2 people comfortably. Would recommend."

"The bedroom itself is relatively spacious, but the building is old and the corridors and toilet are rather small/narrow. The bathroom has a mold issue, so do not stay here if you prefer very clean places. (No issues with the room the bed is in though, it is quite clean.) The 'toilet sink' is actually located in the bedroom; the room has a fridge, kettle, free wifi, hair dryer, some hangers and basic amenities. (Tooth brush, razor, ladies set of 2x cotton buds and cotton pad, bath sponge.) There is also a table and chair, and a TV.\nCoin washing machines are available, but you will need to ask the front desk about using the dryer (which is not free). There is no provided means of hanging a clothes line in your room.\nThe location is about 10mins walk from Ikebukuro station, but if you use the C1 exit, most of it is underground. (Useful when it rains.) Note that the C1 exit is stairs only, so if you have luggage, it is best to use the West exit. There are many eateries within close walking distance, including a sashimi/yakiniky horse meat restaurant, and a 7 Eleven at the end of the block. The night life area is within close proximity, so it is interesting to walk around at night. Note that there are some love hotels and other 18+ places close to the hotel, but other than the store signage, it is fine.\nOther than the tight spacing in the toilet and the bathroom mold (easily fixed with a good dose of bleach), I would not mind staying here again if the price is cheap enough."

"My husband and I stayed here for a few nights while exploring Tokyo. Small rooms, but that is to be expected! I love how Tokyo hotels are very efficient with use of space, and Oak Hotel was no exception to this rule (also, we were only here to sleep, which was perfect). 7-11 is right around the corner, and it's about a ten minute walk to the station. We would stay here again!"
