"The good stuff first:\nStaff were super friendly and helpful—helped us with our luggage both to the room and when we needed to send it to the airport. Big plus! The location is also great if you're planning to hop on a train—easy access to pretty much anywhere.\n\nThe not-so-great stuff:\nThe room was kind of tired. Paint was peeling, ceiling tape was coming off, and it felt like the place could use a bit of TLC. We also found a random piece of food under the bed—not ideal. The fridge didn’t work, and the bathroom had this weird, stale cornflake smell that just wouldn’t go away.\n\nThat said, for the price, it's not a bad option—especially if you're not planning to spend much time in the room. If they freshen things up a bit, it could be a solid budget stay."

"The rooms are very small but the price-point is comparable. My main issue is that they do not clean the rooms unless you request it, not the other way around (I usually prefer this, though the staff will enter the room, regardless and turn off all of the electronics, including the AC and the fridge!) I had items in the fridge, that I expected to have cold when I returned and could not and for what? For them to save 11 cents on the electricity? Not to mention the AC. We came home to an incredibly hot and humid room, an issue that is clearly evident as the wallpaper is peeling from the walls from moisture. All of our clothes were wet from climbing Fuji so none of them dried during our stay, despite hanging them up creating a very damp and musty odour. I could forgive this if they had dryers in the hotel but of course, they do not. Clearly an establishment pinching every penny they can get. Unforgivable.\n\n(EDIT FOR OWNER RESPONSE): Yes, we left the spare card inserted every day and still came back to all the electronics turned off, so either the card was removed when we were out or the AC and fridge simply time-out on their own (unlikely)"

"My husband and I booked the Nest Hotel for 8 days in Tokyo. For the amount we paid, the hotel was not worth it. The room was extremely small.\nWe expected the rooms in Japan to be small but this was beyond small. I dropped something on\nThe floor and had to look under the bed and it looks like they haven’t cleaned the carpet since they opened the hotel. It was nasty! We ended up checking out the early and booking another hotel. It is a 5 minute way from the train station but it’s not a comfortable hotel. The staff looked like they were all children. They lacked the customer service we received at the other hotels we stayed at."
