"Wow, what can I say. We booked a deluxe queen room and it was the best hotel room we’ve stayed so far in our 2-week Japan trip, even if it was only listed as a three star hotel.\n\nThe location was one of the biggest highlights. It was close to everywhere (and only a 3min walk to the famous Kamo River) yet hidden in a quiet neighborhood where you could get away from the chaotic crowds in the Gion area.\n\nEverything in the room was clean, renovated/modern, a beautiful Kyoto style touch with a luxury vibe. We especially loved the bathroom - I don’t normally use hotel bathtubs but theirs was so superb that we used it everyday during our stay lol.\n\nThe staff were very polite and friendly, too. One special shoutout to one of the staff (we forgot to ask for his name!) on the night of our checkout, who went above and beyond to help with our transportation to Osaka. どうもありがとうございます！\n\nOnly one small con was that the breakfast options were pretty limited (traditional Kyoto style breakfast only). But the food was very high quality with a reasonable price.\n\nOverall, we loved our stay and would definitely come back when we revisit Kyoto next time!"
