"Overall, a poor experience.\n\nThe room was of usual size for a central Tokyo business hotel (small), but clean, fresh and comfortable. The beds are firm but that was fine for us.\n\nOne drawback was the vehicle noise from the highway that runs beside the hotel. If you are a light sleeper, you may have trouble sleeping. We used ear plugs we brought and were fine.\n\nThe check-in experience was good, with friendly and helpful staff.\n\nHowever, we left with a very unpleasant checkout experience. We booked the short stay package with a check in from 10pm and a check out by 9am. What we were not told was there was a ¥3300 fee for any lateness whatsoever. I handed the key cards back at 9:08am and was promptly told I would have to pay the fee. I was taken aback and offered to pay ¥1000 for any inconvenience caused. They said they would call the police if I did not pay the fee. So beware - check out well in advance or be ready to pay up.\n\nThere was nothing written about this fee in the terms and conditions when I booked on Rakuten travel."

"I had previously read reviews on this hotel and had ignored all the red flags that other customers were experiencing, but please do not book this hotel.\n\nAs other reviews had said. The staff here was very unfriendly. In fact, I saw another customer has a similar experience where they were threatened to be kicked out. We were as well.\n\nIt was storming and so chilly that day so we came to see if there’s a room available so we could check in a bit earlier than check in time (around 4:30pm. Check in time is 5pm). We had asked them if we could check in earlier. They weren't very good with English so we asked again and tried explaining with hand gestures. That was when the manager came storming out saying that we were no longer welcomed into the hotel due to our rudeness to the check in staff and our disregard for hotel policy and told us to leave. We were shocked so we proceeded to try to reason with them. He continued to yell at us, threaten us, and would not be reasonable with us until we apologized. He then printed out the apology on paper (in Japanese) then forced us to sign it to have us recognize our fault. This was all while we had a language barrier.\n\nThis was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any hotels.\n\nAgain, like other reviews had said, unfriendly, late check in times, and I forgot to mention that it is not a 5 min walk to tokyo station as the hotel claims... more like a 20-25 min walk\n\nEDIT** I see that the hotel has commented. To clarify, I had just come off a 10 hr flight had asked if there was a bathroom I could use to change. After they showed me the bathroom I then reached into my suitcase (without even laying it flat) and grabbed any clean pair of clothing I can reach to change into. This in fact did not cause any disturbance as there was no one even to disturb…"

"You really shouldn't do this.\nThey put money before hospitality.\nAttracts you with cheap money on travel assistance websites,\nIn reality, it is a ploy to charge you a lot of money for delayed checkout.\n\nEven though the terms and conditions of stay are not in the room,\nAt check-in, one iPhone is all you need, and the rest is on YouTube.\n\nIt is difficult to know the time frame for the extended stay fee,\nThere is an extra charge at 5:00 and 9:00,\n\nThe staff is like a collection agency in the way they collect the money.\nThe staff is very firm in collecting the money, and when I asked them for more information, they just said that it was a special handling,\nThey don't show me the terms and conditions of the room, so I don't know where the money is fixed.\n\nThe low internet prices and check-out times are a trap, so do not trust them.\n\nI even wish they would quit the hotel business if they can't run their business without this."
