Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo Shiodome

"Customer service was great! Loved the staff\nThey were super nice, they left us some treats in our bed for our honeymoon, and we were treated super nicely, the view from our bedroom was also soooo nice!! The only thing I would suggest to work on, I would highly recommend better beds and more pillows, the bed was very uncomfortable for us and they give 1 super thin pillow that didn’t help. Also they could not accommodate us for breakfast even if told days prior. Not much around it without a commute. The view was great though, and everything was super clean."

"Very nice hotel in a great surround. Very good connection to the metros. Plenty of restaurants around. For Tokyo big rooms and the service people arey nice and frindly. Take care - not all rooms are having a window to outside, some are looking into the lobby only. If you like daylight try to avoid these and ask for another room with with an outside view."

"We booked this hotel because the price was a lot cheaper than other other hotel we could find in Tokyo that had a real size queen plus an extra single for our daughter. Other hotels in this price range wanted to give us one bed for all 3 of us!\n\nUpon arrival this hotel looks luxurious and elegant. So tall and full of floor to ceiling marble. It looks 5 star judging by the entrance BUT once you check in and see check in is all on screens and your amenities are pick and choose in the lobby you start to pick up on the fact it might not be so grand.\n\nThen you get to the room and realize it’s more like a 3 star hotel. Its definitely not a 4 star quality room. (We had a superior queen room with a sofa/bed…nothing superior about it. Just very small and basic.\n\nRooms are small in Tokyo in general so my expectations weren’t high. There really isn’t anywhere in this room to put your luggage or clothes. The room is built for 3 people bed wise but space wise it doesn’t work. We slept in the room and that was it. No area to hang out or relax.\n\nThere was also a mouldy smell in the room but putting the humidifier on helped. The bathroom resembled a cruise ship room bathroom but smaller.\n\nPositive point was the room is very dark at night since our room faced the inside of the hotel lobby. No early morning sunlight shining through. Blinds were true blackout and the air conditioning worked great so the room was nice and cool and we all slept well.\n\nThere is a free happy hour in the lobby with drinks including alcohol 5-7pm. Hotel advertises free snacks at happy hour but there are none.\n\nLocation is a little boring right around the hotel but so close to Ginza and a subway station so it has good walkability. Plus boring does mean quiet. The hotel was quite quiet except the for the odd loud talkers in the hallways."
