"My experience at this hotel was unfortunately marred by consistently rude and unprofessional customer service. In particular, two young female staff members at the front desk stood out for their poor behaviour — one with short hair, and another with her hair tied up.\n\nUpon arrival, I received no greeting or warm welcome, which is highly unusual in Japan where hospitality is typically outstanding. One of the staff members continued chatting with her colleague while I stood at the counter ready to check in, completely ignoring me. When she finally acknowledged me, the interaction was rushed and cold. She placed my passport back on the counter without handing it to me — a small gesture, but one that felt extremely dismissive and disrespectful.\n\nNeither staff member took the time to explain the hotel facilities, nor did they offer even the most basic courtesy during my stay. Each time I walked in or out of the lobby, I was met with silence and indifference. Again, this stood out to me because every other hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan provided warm and attentive service — this was the only exception.\n\nI expect at least a basic level of professionalism and respect when staying at a hotel, and sadly, that was not delivered here. I would not return, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to others based on the lack of basic hospitality and the frankly rude behaviour of the staff.\n\nLocation was in a quiet area, and far away from train stations.. About a 10-15 min walk.\n\nRooms were okay, standard 3 star."

"Very basic, fairly clean and functional room without attention to details. Small changes could have improved the the experience. There was no thoughtful use of the cramped space, such as consideration of where to open a carry on sized suitcase. The bed, pillows & sheets were comfortable. Overall an acceptable place to spend the night, but I would not go out of my way to return."

"location wise it is about 3 - 5 minutes from inaricho station but 10-15 from Ueno which can be a tiring distance. The hotel surroundings are very quiet and there isn’t much to do that. There is a nice sento near which I would recommend for all to visit.\nMy biggest complaint would be the steps to get into the hotel while lugging my luggage, and once past their main door I realised there are more steps to reach the front desk.\n\nRoom size was big as we got the bigger room and amenities (at the lobby) were available to take back to room as well. They have two lifts so there was never any waiting. Good sound proof as I could never hear any noise outside. There were two pillows provided , an ergo one and a normal kind which were nice to try. The room also had the most wonderful kettle which was nice to use. However room was by central heating and we didn’t know how to open the windows so sometimes the room can get quite unbearably hot during winter."
