"Great place to stay in Tokyo. Rooms are a little on the smaller side, but are aesthetically designed and clean. Staff are very helpful and kind. Location is fantastic. A few short minutes walk away from a couple of major subway lines that get you to the major sites. In the neighborhood, there are tons of good spots to eat and explore. 5 stars because it is good value and a hassle free stay."

"The staff was lovely and got us some fresh flowers and beautiful chopsticks as a wedding gift - we are so grateful.\n\nThe location was great - on an active street but still quiet. All the amenities in the hotel were great and up to date. They even have laundry in the building that kept your clothes locked and safe until you got back to collect them. The rooms were quite small, which we were anticipating and were okay with, just took some adjustment."

"Hotel Hillarys offers an affordable stay in a good location, but there are some significant downsides. The rooms are extremely small—you don’t even have space other than on the bed to open your suitcase—and had a persistent musty smell, like wet rags. Despite turning on the dehumidifier machine, the moisture and smell in the air made the space feel unpleasant, which was disappointing.\n\nService was another issue. Before arrival, I reached out via email and Agoda to request two twin-size beds instead of one full-size bed, but I never received a response. Throughout my stay, the service felt minimal and unhelpful, which was frustrating.\n\nThe only real positive was the breakfast, which provided good value for the price. The selection was decent, and it was a nice way to start the day.\n\nWhile the hotel is budget-friendly and well-located, the lack of responsiveness, musty smell, and cramped rooms make it hard to recommend."
