"Great Location by Ueno Station. We stayed here back in 2023 for our first family vacation, nothing was wrong then & it was awesome, we wanted to come back in the future & stay here again. This time we went in April of this year, but only stayed for 1 night since the place was booked out. Horrible experience this year. Found a pair of socks from the past guest hidden in my sheets & ended up getting bed bug bites all over my legs, feet and stomach. Traumatizing. After leaving my room to complain to reception, I found the housekeeping staff sitting in the hallway texting & playing on their phones. My bed was the only one not professionally cleaned, compared to the other 3 beds in the room. Reported both the housekeeping staff & the bites. They took pictures of my bitten feet & reimbursed me for the night. I’m glad they took my bites serious but I hope they train that housekeeping staff better. Will be forever traumatized & never staying at this hotel ever again."

"This hostel gets great public relations, but it’s a terrible place to stay. There are no stairs. The elevator is super slow. You can’t open any windows. The rooms are small and smells like fit. The people at their reception were rude and very non-Japanese behavior.\nI paid for three nights, but left after the first night because I couldn’t sleep there mainly because of the smell.\nWhen I told the receptionist about it, there was zero empathy from his side.\nNeedless to say that I was not offered any compensation."

The rooms and facilities are exceptionally clean, and the on-site buffet breakfast is a cost-effective and satisfying option. Staff are helpful, the Wi-Fi is strong, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and cosy—ideal for both short and extended stays."
