"We stayed at Best Western in Japan in early August 2025 and were generally satisfied with the room cleanliness and convenience. The location was great, and most of the male staff were friendly and helpful. One female staff member on August 4 even went out of her way to help us find a nearby clinic for our daughter — and we were really grateful for her assistance.\n\nUnfortunately, the checkout experience on August 7 ruined our overall impression. We had two rooms, one of which was checked out on time. We were traveling with kids and needed help with luggage. Because our key cards had already been collected, we had to send one child down to bring an adult up, which caused a bit of a delay. During this time, two female staff members — one of whom claimed to be the manager — were unhelpful and spoke to us in an unfriendly and harsh manner.\n\nInstead of assisting or offering basic courtesy, they seemed annoyed and even mocked us, speaking in Japanese and laughing while we struggled with our bags. One even raised her voice when I asked for her name to include in a review. She didn’t have a name tag on and refused to give me her name. It felt disrespectful, and far from the level of hospitality we’ve come to associate with hotels in Japan.\n\nThe poor attitude and hostility from the staff on our last day left a bad impression and made us hesitant to return or recommend this property to others. I hope the hotel management takes guest feedback seriously and improves staff training, especially in customer service and communication."

"Loved the stay in this hotel. This was the first one we stayed in after getting off the plane, and that may be why i was so impressed with everything. Although the room size is small (as to be expected), everything was perfect. The room was modern, stylish, cozy. They offered free hot drinks at reception. Free amenities bar as well. Location was great, close to stations."

"I recently stayed at Best Western Hotel Fino Tokyo Akihabara and found the experience to be a mixed bag.\n\nOn the positive side, the location is quite convenient—just a 10-minute walk from the Akihabara area, which makes it easy to explore the vibrant shopping and entertainment options nearby. The hotel itself has a modern design and offers a comfortable atmosphere for travelers.\n\nHowever, I was quite disappointed with the hotel service. During our stay, housekeeping left our room door open after cleaning, which was a serious lapse in security and professionalism. On top of that, the housekeeping felt only half-done, as some areas were left untouched.\n\nWhen I brought up these concerns with the front desk, I was met with a generic apology that felt more like a routine response than genuine concern for the issues raised. For a hotel that carries an international brand like Best Western, I expected better customer service and attention to guest feedback.\n\nOverall, while the location is a major plus, the service left much to be desired. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously to improve the overall guest experience."
