Hassler Roma

"The hotel is situated in an excellent spot on to of the Spanish Steps\n\nOn arrival the welcome was very warm\nHowever was disappointed in the shower facilities it was an ancient shower head where the temperature could not be controlled and the shower itself a mere trickle not what you would expect from a five star hotel .. did not improve even after maintenance said it was fixed .\nThe morning breakfast staff were very pleasant and attentive\n\nThe concierge on the other hand left a lot to be desired my husband lost his phone in a cab ordered by the hotel and there was no urgency to help !and as for help regarding tours and trips that were not forthcoming\n\nOne of the managers was more than helpful one day when housekeeping did not make our room .. she really made us feel valued\n\nThe roof top bar and light meals on floor 7 offered only a snack and drink when we were booked for an evening light meal felt they very uncomfortable with the lack of service and left with our drinks half finished\nLoved Rome and would return again but do not feel it would be at the Hassler not sure it is the luxury it promotes. Unfortunate as the other staff all very nice and helpful"
