Grand Hotel Tiberio

"Although it's an older building, it's a great hotel. The service was terrific. They have a 24-hour desk and check-in and check-out at the middle of the night went smoothly. We received all the necessary information for our stay, and were well received.\n\nThe building itself is older. Which means thinner walls. Other guests are more present, either in the hallway or the room next to you, you'll hear everything. This was the only point of critique. The room was neat and had everything you need: beds, a clean bathroom with a shower, air conditioning, clean sheets, and comfortable beds.\n\nOverall,, the premises are immaculate and well-maintained. The pool and garden were very relaxing and calm. A great break from the bustling city of Rome.\n\nRestaurant, however, is different.\n\nBreakfast is excellent. Lots of sweet treats, a good choice between eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, cheese, cold meats, yoghurt, fresh fruit, ... ) But please stop offering the watery "orange juice" from machines. It's disgusting, and I doubt people drink it that much.\nDinner is only available to those who have made reservations. But it was the most disgusting thing I've eaten in Italy.\n\nLocation-wise, I also liked the hotel. Metro stop Cipro is a 15-minute walk. You stay in the middle of regular houses. No disruptive partygoers or tourists. And a good deli and a few restaurants nearby."

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel Tiberio in Rome, and it was an unforgettable experience.\n\nFrom the moment we arrived, Umberto at the front desk warmly welcomed us with his positive attitude and helpful nature. He took the time to offer personalized recommendations on dining and sightseeing with a map, ensuring we made the most out of our Roman adventure.\n\nThe maid service maintained our room impeccably, and the breakfast spread set the perfect tone for each day with a wide variety of delectable options. Special mention goes to Dominic, who, with his kind demeanor, made our dining experience even more enjoyable.\n\nThe hotel’s recommended car service made transportation to and from the airport seamless and stress-free. While not located in the heart of Rome, the hotel's proximity to Vatican City is walkable and its serenely quiet nights, even with patio doors open, created a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city.\n\nMy only minor criticism is the lack of early morning coffee, as it wasn’t available before 7 AM. Though there was a vending machine in the lobby, it was unfortunately out of order during our stay, and the nighttime staff wasn't as helpful as their daytime counterparts.\n\nOverall, I highly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel. I hope you have the pleasure of meeting Umberto when you check in; his warmth undoubtedly enhances the experience. We will be back!"

"I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in the “Deluxe” room with a small terrace, room number 510. Unfortunately, every evening I had to go to the reception because the water pressure in the shower was extremely low—it was practically impossible to take a proper shower. Each night, the receptionist would send someone to temporarily fix the issue by adjusting some valves located under the sink. However, this was not a proper solution, as the valves were leaking and very difficult to regulate.\n\nI reported this issue to three different receptionists over the course of my stay. Each of them assured me that the problem would be permanently fixed during the day while I was out exploring the city. Sadly, this never happened. They also did not have another Deluxe room available to offer as a replacement.\n\nThe breakfast was quite poor and repetitive, lacking variety and quality.\n\nIn terms of location, the nearest metro station, “Cipro,” is about a 15-minute walk away. There is also a bus option—number 990L—but it only comes every 30 minutes.\n\nOverall, in my opinion, this hotel does not deserve its 4-star rating. At best, I would rate it 3 stars."
