"Loved the rooftop bar—stylish, calm, and with super comfortable seating. The cocktail I had was perfectly crafted and full of flavor. A peaceful escape in the heart of Rome—can’t wait to return!"

"This hotel is a must avoid and heavily overrated.\n\n1) No service on arrival. When we arrived, nobody offered to help with our luggage even though there was staff at the front door. Help with baggage is to be expected at a top hotel, and even more so when your wife is visibly pregnant.\n\n2) The bathroom (literally) stinks. There are persistent water problems that leads to the floor being flooded every time the shower is used and as a result the floor smells horrible. We asked this to be fixed, and although they were able to clean the bathroom to remove the smell, the smell returned within one day. This is caused by the shower floor being too high so water easily spills out (a design flaw), and the shower door being misaligned (poor quality).\n\n3) Poor housekeeping. Housekeeping left all the doors to the outside open while we were out exploring the city. When we arrived home we had to go on a bug hunting spree.\n\n4) Closed pool. One of my joys when I travel is going for a swim, and this pool was closed for three of the four nights of our stay. On the fourth night we were told that the pool would reopen, so we arranged to come back earlier from our adventures to leave time to swim. We changed, went to the pool, and the temperature was, according to my Apple Watch, 67 degrees Fahrenheit. This is frigid! We would have been better off being told the pool was closed a fourth night and not wasting our time rushing home and changing for nothing.\n\n5) Bad service. A) the aforementioned misinformation about the pool B) the front desk was unable to exchange 20 USD for Euros, a common feature at many top hotels C) the housekeeping repeatedly arrived for turndown service while we were in the room. This included at 10pm when we were going to bed AFTER we had just eaten at the hotel caffe downstairs. A high quality hotel should know if you are attending one of their restaurants and use that time to do turndown."

"The hotel rooms have become very expensive, but so far it is worth it. It is still the best hotel in Rome. The rooftop bar, the 24/7 breakfast, the location, everything is very good. Gym could be better; no windows (nobody does that anymore), a hole in the floor... very strange with the growing trend for healthy lifestyle. But for now there is nothing better in Rome. and not only in Rome. Bvlgari is still the best hotel chain in the world. And even Aman is not up to it yet."
