Bintang Penida Resort

"This was our first time at Nusa Penida and we were looking for somewhere near the port area to stay(Sanur Port).\n\nBintang Penida Resort was a short drive away from the port and it seemed highly rated plus a good value for money. We availed their pick-up service to and from the port so we would not struggle in finding a ride and avoid getting overcharged by drivers. Thanks to Mr. Ray for welcoming us and helping us with our luggage. We checked-in and warmly assisted by Ms. Made, she is very genuine and helpful with our queries.\n\nThe pool was nice and deep, although I noticed a bit of detached pool tile. All villas were facing the pool area and have a small terrace to sit and hang wet clothes. Our villa was impressively well maintained and clean and spacious. The interior of the room was simple and straight forward. There is ample desk space small wardrobe and basic tea and coffee set.\n\nI loved how the bathroom was so wide then again very clean and has an open sky-view. I was surprised we had no issues with insects even though it was an open bathroom. The body wash and shampoo was so fragrant. Although some basic toilet amenities were not provided it was not really a problem for us because we prefer to use our own.\n\nThe bed was extremely comfy for us which I really appreciate almost becoming my favorite part of the stay. There is an attached mosquito net by the bed however we did not really needed it.\n\nDuring our entire stay we enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at their restaurant, the prices were reasonable. The staff there Ms. June, Iban and Mr. Krishna were all amazing and very polite.\n\nWe availed a day tour with them the Snorkeling and West Island tour. Had a memorable experience with the snorkeling group tour, they took us to a good boat company. Just be in your swimming outfit already and bring beach towel. We made a mistake of bringing with us to the boat change of clothes and other stuff which we didn't even had a chance to use.\n\nThe other half of the tour was supposed to be West Island tour however the assigned hotel driver (we forgot his name) took us on the East Island instead, we didn't realize until half way already so we just let it slide and move on. However after the first stop of the tour which was Diamond Beach we were supposed to go on another spot the Rumah Pohon Tree House. Before leaving I reconfirmed with the driver if it was the next stop, he said yes and only 10mins. away. We were talking to him in the car and told we are not really interested with the photo opportunity at the tree house but want to walk around and see the area. During the drive we were wondering why the drive was taking more than 10mins already, and to our surprise when we asked him he said we were on the way back to the hotel. He assumed we didn't want to go on the next spot just because we didn't want to que for the tree house. It was really upsetting that time because it was a quite a long drive and we did not completed that tour. The whole time with him we felt that he was in a rush. We raised this issue with Ms. Made and just want the driver to improve for his own benefit, until the next time he will handle another tour for their guests.\n\nRegardless of this experience we were still happy with our stay in this resort. I highly recommend this place if you can't decide where to stay, for such an affordable price point with easy-going yet excellent hospitality this resort is at the top of the list. Again thanks to Ms. Made, Mr. Ray and all the crew of Bintang Penida Resort."

"Staff was nice and the rooms were clean. They don't provide dental kit so take your own.\nThe overall property was beautiful and the location was perfect to explore other beaches and places. They don't have too many food options so you can explore lots of cafes there outside.\nA few improvement ls can be done like:\nPlease add a little more items in the food menu.\nBathroom's door wasn't working properly.\nThe bed curtain was torn.\nThe chlorine in the pool was literally too much."

One person who deserves a lot of admiration is Eka who served us as a receptionist, waitress and handles all our needs with a polite smile on her face.\nGreat service from all the staff as well."
