Hotel Acropolis House

"I booked this hotel for 2 nights as my accommodation was full. I checked in on Saturday night around 5pm and I can confirm that they have a 24 hour reception. The hotel building is a very old building, first of all, you should accept this. They have an average price of 100EUR per night including breakfast. The lady who I think is the owner of the hotel is a kind person. But the Albanian lady who works there is a wonderful person. He is my favorite. There is another male employee during the day but I have no comment on him, he was respectful. As for the rooms, I stayed in room 302. The bathroom was very, very small and the shower was separated by a shower curtain. Especially after a shower, it is almost impossible to use the bathroom. The floors are incredibly wet, there is nothing to dry, towels are not enough to keep the floor dry. Without an outside window, the fan is not enough and it doesn't dry on its own. There is no shower tray or even a restricted shower area. The ground is solid and flat. Breakfast was good, same every day but good. If you count the hot varieties, there is maybe only one boiled egg. I think they could offer a different hot dish every day. But the products were of good quality and served very neatly. Breakfast includes fruit juice, tea and filter coffee. Fruit juice is unlimited from the machine. They can hold the luggage until the time you want. The location of the hotel is very central and in a safe area. You will not have the slightest problem. Close to historical places, very close to Syntagma metro stop.\n\nThere is no hair dryer in the rooms. This doesn't make much sense to me, but it may be that in Greece they don't usually have them in hotels of this caliber.\n\nThey didn't mention any tax addition to the total price, I think they include it.\n\nI can't say there is a lobby or a common area, there is a very, very small seating group, but I haven't seen anyone sitting yet and it is in a ramshackle place under the stairs.\n\nThe doors of the rooms do not close properly and I did not need it as I was traveling alone, but it is not suitable for a loud activity.\n\nTo be honest, the bed itself was comfortable, although the bed frame was old.\n\nThere is often street noise at night, so if you are disturbed, you may not be able to sleep. There is a possibility."

"Great location, friendly staff. Rooms are plain but are plenty nice to stay in with AC.\n\nThey do not accept card for payment - which was a shock surprise mentioned to us on night 3 of our stay. With that being our only payment option we had access to, we were forced to create a PayPal to cover the fee. Feels deceptive to bring that up during the stay when the website had us reserve the room with credit card...."
