"We had a great stay at the Dunlin Hotel in Athens. The rooms are modern and clean, and the location is central—perfect for exploring the city.\n\nWhat really stood out was the staff, especially Constadinos at reception. He went above and beyond to help us during a difficult situation. Thanks to him, our holiday in Athens was saved.\n\nThe rooftop terrace is a nice bonus with great views. The area around the hotel isn’t the nicest, but we felt safe and well-informed by the staff.\n\nOverall, excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again."

"We had a 2-day stay and chose this hotel based on the positive reviews we had seen, completely ignoring the negative ones. Big mistake. The hotel is located in an inconvenient area, full of homeless people engaging in illegal activities. It’s one of the worst and most unpleasant neighborhoods in Athens, a place that shows you the ugly side of the Greek capital and makes you not want to stay.\nAnyway, when we first entered the hotel room, everything seemed okay at first glance. The room appeared clean, and I didn’t analyze things too closely. I wanted to use the toilet and noticed a stain that looked like a drop of urine, even though the toilet seat had a sticker claiming it had been disinfected.\nI reported the issue at the reception, and I was told that the maid had already left, but we were offered a room change. I initially refused, thinking that was the only issue, and asked for some disinfectant so we could clean it ourselves (what a lovely vacation when I have to clean up after others myself!!!).\nWe went out for a walk, and when we came back to the room, I wanted to take a shower. The towels were placed on the bed, positioned in such a way that when I lifted them, I saw multiple stains resembling drops of a certain substance and a large, hardened stain that looked like menstrual blood! These were RIGHT UNDER MY TOWELS, WHICH WERE SUPPOSED TO BE CLEAN. Even the towels themselves weren’t clean, they had dirt spots and didn’t smell freshly washed.\nI reported this issue too, and all the problematic items were replaced. I want to emphasize that my frustrations are directed toward the maid, who I was told was new. I don’t blame the hotel itself, but people like that have no place in such an establishment if they can’t even manage a basic cleaning of a small room. It was a disgrace.\nThe food was okay, nothing special, but decent for a 2-day stay. The staff was relatively friendly, and I appreciate that they tried to solve our problems. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. If you want to visit Athens, I strongly suggest you stay elsewhere. I’m attaching photos of what we found in the room….of course, the photo quality isn’t great."

"The room was clean and spacious, but I found their insulation poor, I could hear furniture moving around above us, and every morning i could hear people moving and closing doors in the corridor. And there's also intermittent smoke smell in the bathroom (think comes from the water pipe). I stayed them for 2 nights but would want to move longer than that. That said, staff was helpful and allowed early checkin."
