Art Gallery Hotel

"I had a wonderful 2-night stay at this cute and homely family-run hotel in May 2025. Its location in a local residential/business area is close to shops and as a tourist you get to see people going about their everyday lives, but yet you're within walking distance of the Acropolis, Plaka, Acropolis Museum and a horde of other tourist attractions, but are away from the over-crowded tourist areas and hotels.\n\nThe room with a small balcony was spacious with a comfortable double bed, and the paintings by a family member added a lovely personal touch. I suppose some might say that it was a bit dated, but that added to its charm in my opinion as it felt like staying in someone's home, not a hotel. A big plus was that the shower in the small bathroom had loads of hot water and excellent water pressure.\n\nThere are plenty of places to eat in the area, but the gorgeous little Vanilia Bistro a minute's walk away across and down the street on the corner was a real find - fantastic reasonably-priced food with lots of vegetarian options.\n\nAlex, the owner/proprietor, was very understanding and accommodating when I had to change my flights at very short notice which initially looked like it might impact on my stay at the hotel, but all worked out well in the end. I arrived at 8am expecting to have to leave my bags at reception until check-in time at 2pm, but no - my room was ready for me and I was kindly allowed to check in early. That was greatly appreciated after a 17-hour long haul flight - so a big thank you!"

"I love this hotel. We have stayed here many times. Since we very first stayed, the surrounding area has changed greatly and is now pretty trendy and lively. Thankfully the hotel hasn't changed one bit. We love that it is totally individual and not at all fancy. However it is clean, comfortable, in a marvellous location and the staff are very friendly and helpful."
