Amazon Hotel

"Still worth 5 stars for value although it was our 2nd favourite but less expensive stay in Athens. Location is great and easily accessible for transit and walking to everything! Hotel and room were clean and basic. Reasonably quiet. Checkin/out was quick and easy and Claudia was great! Breakfast had lots of choice with a terrific self serve barrista coffee machine. It was located on the upper level with a great panoramic view of the street. We would stay here again!"

"Fantastic hotel!\nOur stay was lovely thanks to the centrality of the hotel and the efficiency of the staff.\nThe position is close to everything: bus stops, metro station of Place Sintagma, restaurants, bars, ecc.\nThe room was modern and thoroughly clean. The breakfast was international and very tasty.\nThe service was great, the receptionists are all friendly and always available.\nAfter the checkout, they even let us put our luggages into a locked room in order to let us enjoy our last day.\nSuper recommended!"

"We stayed here first week of April. When we arrived in the evening the room was quite warm and the air con wasn’t working - we were told the air con is switched off until the summer which is common for Mediterranean countries but this wasn’t explicitly mentioned on the website so the first night was a bit uncomfortable and we couldn’t open the windows because it was so noisy outside - with the windows closed it was quiet.. until early morning when we were awoken by the beds upstairs being moved across the room presumably moving them from a double to single or vice-versa but the noise like they were being dragged across the room was not a pleasant way to be woken up (perhaps it was a poltergeist.. read on). The room (401) was fairly basic and the shower was narrow which others have commented on. On two occasions in the middle of the night there was a blue light in the room which suddenly disappeared when noticing it. On one occasion I felt something squeeze my thigh whilst my partner was in the shower and another occasion something touch my feet.. perhaps this room is haunted?!\n\nBreakfast is great with lots of choice and open a good length of time (0700-10:30). The staff are very friendly and the maid checks in the early if you need anything even after the room was serviced earlier in the day. Location is great and walking distance to all the main sites in Athens and restaurants etc in abundance.\n\nOverall good value for money with breakfast included."
